Acoustics

The forest is composed in polyrhythms: wind-oscillated leaves trace shifting patterns, insects sustain a slow ambient pulse, birds cast transient motifs in call-and-response arcs, and animal movements strike percussive accents. These layers converge into continuous ecological symphonies; generatively unique yet compositionally self-similar, echoing the recursive logic of living systems. Ambisonic field recordings captured the forest’s soundfield in full spatial depth. Temporal and spectral features were extracted as musical notation and reimagined with synthetic instruments: an experimental translation of the forest’s voice into a manufactured environment.
